Japanese esthetic salon face plus by Yamano

It has been more than 80 years since Aiko Yamano opened the Yamano Hair Salon in 1925 and began her career as a beautician. Her success led Yamano to setting up the Yamano Beauty Training Centre (now known as Yamano Beauty College) in 1934, followed by the establishment of Japan’s first cosmetology university in 1992 – the Yamano College of Aesthetics – which boasts 230,000 graduates so far.

Even with her passing, the Yamano group continued to expand to include Yamano Beauty Mate – beauty and hair salons that came under the direct management of the group – a trading company and the Yamano Kimono Dressing School (International Beauty Association). A pioneer in the beauty industry, the Yamano group’s successful formula has continued to steer it forward.

Throughout this period, the Yamano Aesthetic Academy which opened in 1986 has also achieved the record for training the most number of skilled beauticians in Japan.
